Curtain Walls

energy efficiency, aesthetics and resistance

Curtain walls lining are mainly born for aesthetic reasons and are often used in office buildings, but thanks to their versatility are increasingly being used where it is needed high energy efficiency, acoustics and a light structure. Can be designed into regular shapes, oblique adapting to increasingly innovative architectural design

Curtain walls are built with a frame able to support the glass panels resistant as structural elements of the building. Thanks to the curtain walls are obtained architectures read great-looking and durable effect.

The fundamental element of the curtain wall is glass that depending on the heat output and exposure are distinguished: absorbent, reflective, selective

The advantages of curtain walls

  •     optimal lighting
  •     great resistance
  •     seismic properties
  •     weathering resistance

There are different types of continuous facades which differ in their characteristics

  •    Facades mullions and transoms
  •     cells in facades
  •     structural facades
  •     semi-structural facades
  •     Facades punctual fixings

Facade mullions and transoms
The mounted and transom façade is formed by elements that form a lattice structure. The fixing is carried out by means of galvanized steel brackets.

cells in facades
The cells in the facade is formed by prefabricated cells that contain both the aluminum lattice both rear-end collisions (transparent or opaque).

structural facades
This system gives the facade a mirror effect without highlighting the aluminum frame. The glass is glued with structural silicone adhesive to aluminum frames forming part of the façade structure.

Semi-structural facades
The semi-structural facade using visible profiles, but with minimum width. From a distance, these external profiles become almost imperceptible to the eye ,.

Facades punctual fixings
The facade to punctual fasteners is created by fixing the glass plates provided with holes for anchoring by means of the ball joints, which have the task of supporting each glass which then will form the facade.
